Roller Girl

Top: Thrifted / Shorts: Miracle Eye / Sunglasses: MakeMeChic / Beret: Oasap / Shoes: Thrifted

Tube tops, oui or non? Wearing no bra is quite liberating, and tube tops make it all the more invigorating due to the fact that the top could slip down any second. Am I becoming a nudist? (Hopefully). Not to mention that fact that it showcases a whole lotta shoulder/collarbone area, which is an instant boner for some people [ME]. I feel like this look would have been next level if I had some sick roller blades to sport. Only problem is I'd definitely bust my face because no coordination.

Summertearz

Top: Thrifted / Shorts: Mom's / Boots: Jessica Buurman

The title of this post is definitely accurate in the sense that there are currently tears being shed for the presence of summer. I'm completely over this cold spell we are experiencing, surely depicted in this outfit. Granted, on this day it was a bit warmer, but still way too cold for March.

I've been very into lingerie and delicate looking pieces lately, so these shorts were just meant to be resurfaced. They are quite billowy and at times, when an unfortunate gust of wind sweeps through, there is a possibility of them flashing some booty cheek. But hey, team booty cheek for life

And of course, my babies. These boots are so amazing and sass up any outfit. I don't know if I've mentioned that the long part is detachable, which makes them very versatile. Plus, who wouldn't want to wear sexed up gogo boots?

Top and Green Shorts: Thrifted / Leggings: Tobi / Carpet Jacket: Miss KL / Shoes: Thrifted, Nine West

Yes, I AM alive. I really do apologize for the lack of posts, but last week was insane. It was the week before we got out for Thanksgiving break, and all of the teachers were piling on the work. Talk about nasty.

Now that it is actually getting cold, I'm able to layer on different pieces and I'm overjoyed because of it. I got these croc leggings a while back and I love the texture on them mixed with my awkward skirt/capri hybrid. I also have a top similar to this one, but it's a solid khaki color. For some reason it just reminds me of the colonial time with the straight neckline and hooks up the front. I saw these shoes at one of my local thrift stores and it was love at first sight. I've been wanting pointy toe shoes, but I like the pointed part to be dramatically long, and most of the stores online don't have that. And of course I had to add on my furry carpet jacket to polish the look off.

I don't know if you noticed, but I also darkened my hair. I've been wanting to dye it black for a while since I was getting tired of my boring brown color. My mom did persuade me to do the dark brown/black color and I'm loving it. Now I kinda want to chop it into a sassy bob, who knows...?

Okay now onto something a tad serious. I know that my style is changing, and some people may not like it, but I assure you it's for the better. Don't get me wrong, I love dressing like a 90's kick-ass grrl or a bohemian princess, but now I'm transitioning into a more sophisticated phase. I have always loved dressing one way and then switching it around the next day. I don't think everything I wear now will be so mature because I'm still a seventeen year old. Trust me, I'm still going to whip out my overalls and space boots on occasion. I'm still a 90's kid at heart.

P.S. WHO'S FREAKIN EXCITED FOR THANKSGIVING FOOD?! (crunchy macaroni omg yas)

Burning Hearts

Top: Thrifted / Shorts: Miracle Eye / Shoes: Thrifted

All I have to say is that these shorts will not be leaving my body for a good couple of weeks. First off, they're super comfy, almost like I'm wrapped in a soft carpet. Next, I mean this print is completely mind blowing. I love anything baroque and antique-ish and this print is spot on. Lastly, the tassels. Who knew I was such a child at heart, all I did was shake my hips back and forth attempting to make the tassels shimmy. It was a lovely experience. So yes, Miracle Eye is genius and you should always look there for the coolest clothes. I got many compliments, mostly saying that I looked like I was wearing a curtain, which is fine by me.

I also got these sunnies for 99 cents, what a bargain. I noticed my nails, sunglasses, and shorts were all matching. Yay for matching without meaning to??

So what you've learned from this jumbled blog post is that 1) Miracle Eye is the bestest and 2) sunglasses for 99 cents make a persons day.

On a more random note, I've been obsessing over classical music lately. For some reason I've always wanted to learn how to play the violin. Most people think it's boring and old, but I love it and you should too. Just listen to this song before you go to bed, literally relaxes me so much.

Mad Plaid

Top: Thrifted / Pants: Polo Ralph Lauren (Goodwill) / Shoes: eBay / Purse: gift

THE PANTS. They're literally perfection. They're a size too big, but I honestly had to have them. Ugh, dead. The shoes are quite old, but this is the first time I've worn them. I got them for my birthday, but couldn't find much to wear with them, so they were pushed to the back of my closet. While I was getting dressed I saw them and the outfit just fell into place. It's truly a magical moment when that happens.

I've tried everything I can think of and all the tips from people who know a ton more about technology, but the blurry pics keep happening!! If anyone knows why it's happening, I would greatly appreciate it- but until then if you click on the picture it shows how clear it is. Thanks for your patience!
