"It's hot outside?"

Swimsuit: Modcloth / Jacket : Miss KL / Boots: Jessica Buurman / Hat: Purple Cow

I know I know, "You said you would post regularly!?". I thought I would be able to, but school and work have consumed my life. But I pinky promise you I'm dressing to kill everyday for school. I'll probably start posting ootd's on Instagram, if you'd like to keep up!

I adore this swimsuit. I decided to jazz it up with a fake furry coat (bc why not) and some daaaaamn sexy thigh high boots. I didn't actually wear this outside, though I wish I would have. I thought it would be cool to photoshop myself instead. So if this is a yes, let me know! It'll be a lot easier since I don't have much space in my apartment to take pictures. Instead I can photoshop myself into random places, ya?

Come Into My Dream

Top: Urban Outfitters / Shorts: Urban Outfitters / Vest: Thrifted / Shoes: Sammydress / Sunglasses: XXI

Once again, another hot day where Claudia and I took refuge in the shade. The Louisiana sun is relentless lemme tell you.

You may recognize this dress from one of my previous posts. I loved it as a dress, but I love it even more as this vest thing. I wanted to wear it, but with something underneath, and no way was I wearing pants underneath. So I decided to snip snip and it turned into a cool vest to throw over outfits. I'm thinking of putting huge pom-poms at the bottom to spice it up.

I'm also obsessed with these shorts and shoes. The shorts are suuuper comfy and I guarantee they will be my uniform for school. And the shoes....come on. There are no words to describe these shoes. Platform, colorful, and metallic? Whole package.

Off topic, but I recently posted this picture up on my Instagram:

A couple of my friends commented sweet or funny things on it that I was accustomed to and enjoyed. But then someone whom I've never met or known commented "Ew, shave your pits please" with a couple of laughing/crying emojis behind it. I thought this very rude and uncalled for. What have I done? Showed you a picture of natural hair that I didn't feel the need to shave? Is something so wrong with it that it gives you the need to comment something rude on someone's picture? I love this picture because I was happy when it was taken. It brings back good memories that I always want to reminisce on. I just don't understand society and how ill-mannered people can be sometimes.

Rebel Beat

Top: Forever 21 / Shorts: Urban Outfitters / Shoes: Sammydress / Beret: Oasap / Clutch: CVS

If this look doesn't scream "It's hot as shit, sweat is rolling off of me", then I don't know what will. These past few weeks have been so unbearably hot, hence the scarcity of blog posts. Trust me, I still put on clothes, but it's terrible to go in the heat and take pictures. I'm thinking of getting a really cool tapestry or backdrop to hang in my apartment so I won't always have to go outside to take pictures. Thoughts?

Claudia and I went to get frozen yogurt and decided to stop by the skate park on our way home. It was cooling off at this point in the day, so I wasn't whining too much. We had fun watching people skateboard and rock climb, so all in all it wasn't too excruciating.

Can we talk about these SHOES? I mean come on...I bought two new pairs from Sammydress and I could honestly keep them both on forever. One shoe on each foot. Done. I'm also in love with this little clutch thing. I was getting some makeup products at a CVS and saw it, and obviously fell in love. I think it's actually meant for makeup storage, but it has a strap, therefore it shall be worn as a clutch.

Collaboration: Anna from Melodic, Thrifty, & Chic

All photos taken from Anna's blog

Today, I want to share with you a fellow blogger who has truly inspired me through her outfits, personality, and over all genuine niceness. I've had this blog for a little over a year now, and Anna popped up one day, commenting on one of my posts. From then on, we would both visit each other's blogs, and I always felt like she was my new blogger friend. I enjoyed everything she posted, and always smiled when she took the time to comment on some of my posts. Okay, enough back story, more about Anna!

For starters, look at those outfits!! I enjoy the diversity she incorporates in each outfit, going from some next level shit/ cyborg queen (2nd outfit) to a summery bohemian look that ties in with the nature surrounding her. Every outfit she documents is something a little different than the last, yet encompasses her unique personality every time.

She's an avid gamer, enjoying the older models rather than newer. How epic is that? She also told me about her passion for running, which I also share. From running track in high school, to continuing on today, she enjoys the exercise and also thinks of it as a break from everything, a way to clear her head. She also talks about her ability to speak Japanese on her blog sometimes, which I find so cool! She lived in Japan for a year, so naturally she learned the language. Kudos to you Anna, that's amazing!

If you haven't already swooned over all of these amazing outfits, go on over to her blog and you'll fall in love with her personality, outfits, and unique sense of style!

Party Girls

Dress, Skirt, Belt: Thrifted / Boots: Jessica Buurman

Surprise, surprise I'm alive! Things have been hectic lately getting situated in the apartment and I'm not going to lie, I've lost my drive to blog. Don't get me wrong, I love getting in front of the camera to show off what I've created, but lately I've been lost as to what I really want to do. I know this blog is purely for fun and meeting new, fashionable people who share the same interest as me. Sometimes I just forget that I suppose.

Anyhow, I'm in love with this dress, but as you can see it has some major side slits. Although I would definitely walk around without anything under the dress, my mom would have a heart attack. I thought the deep red would contrast nicely with the deep blue of the dress. Not to mention this dress will definitely come in handy with this blazing summer we are having so far. (90 degrees combined with serious humidity? Go away.) And of course my lovely Chanel-inspired boots from Jessica Burrman top the outfit off.

How is yalls summer so far? Planning any fun trips? Let me know!

New Beginnings

Top: Oasap / Shorts: Miracle Eye / Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

New hair, new beginnings right? A handful of things are changing in my life right now, and I am extremely excited for all of it, so I thought a new do would add into my excitement levels.

I've been aching to change my hair in some way for a while now, contemplating different styles and colors, but I went with chopping in some bangs that are very reminiscent of Mia Wallace. So far I have no complaints, I did them myself and I love the way they came out.

I'm also living in these suuuuper comfy Miracle Eye shorts that I just bought, perfect for summertime. I thought it looked nice with this dupe of the Wildfox seashell boob sweater. Claudia and I went on a picnic this day, hence the change in scenery as well as random stone deer

Illusion

Dress: Choies (Limited Edition) / Shoes: Thrifted

How beautiful is this dress? I'm obsessed with all that's going on, including the wacky pattern, hidden face, and sheer pleated asymmetrical bit. This was my dress for my school's award ceremony for seniors. It's very crazy, but a beautifully crafted piece nonetheless.

I feel out of sorts with blogging lately, but hopefully my icky mood will disintegrate and I will return full force. Love yall!

Enigma

Top&Pants: Thrifted / Shoes: Demonia via eBay

I find it quite strange that we are on the verge of summertime and yet I still cocoon myself in dark, morbid color palettes. The dark colors have always been my comfort zone and I don't think I'm quite ready to give that up yet for summer.

I sincerely apologize once again for my lack of blogging, but I had valid reason! This past week was my last week of exams, as well as my graduation! So trust me, everything leading up to graduation was seemingly stressful, but also very fun filled. I'm so excited to move onto adulthood and make a handful of mistakes, but do so knowing that everything will work out. I'm ready to experience all that life has to offer me and do so with the people I love (including you guys!).

Ritual Union

Top, Jeans, Boots: Thrifted

As of late I've been inspired by menswear and really baggy clothing choices. So me being me, went to the store and got a pack of men's underwear, because I can (and they are so incredibly liberating, SO MUCH ROOM). I decided to style them with some really baggy jeans that I recently got and a plain shirt to make it more masculine. I'm also more into the raw images instead of touching them up, especially with these pictures. The light was shining through perfectly to catch the rawness of my outfit as well as my hair and makeup.

I'm very excited to announce that I will be graduating this Sunday and moving into a new apartment in June! So stick with me as I become adjusted to everything coming my way!

Love yall!
