Advanced Style

As I was browsing the web a few days ago, I came across a website called Teenage Peanut. It is run by a woman who films and edits a multitude of videos, ranging from small documentaries to music videos. As I was watching some, I came across this one. It's a documentary being made about stylish older women in New York. This video is awe-inspiring for me. These ladies are all so unique and beautiful, and of course fabulously stylish. One of the messages I kept getting was that younger people today are too concerned with what society says looks good, and that's not how we should live. All of these women talk about how their style has evolved over time, and just kept getting more fun as time passed on. I love that they have this sense of freedom about them, where they can do whatever they want and are completely happy. One of the women said "Become yourself with a capital S." It just spoke to me, saying that life is definitely way too short, so why not be yourself without any restraints. I definitely recommend watching the trailer for this one, and they have a couple other clips from one on one interviews with some of the ladies. I don't think the documentary has been released yet, but it may be soon, so keep an eye out for it!

  2. I LOVE this - seeing older ladies with amazing style really inspires me. It truly proves that age is just a number and should not be definitive of who you are <3
