Once again, I made a video. I apologize for the crappy quality on it, because the movie maker on my computer is not so great. 

I really loved how these pictures came out. Claudia and I were frolicking around my back yard and decided to take pictures. The red of the brick contrasts nicely with my bright green shorts. I got these from Choies for Christmas and they are so great. I love the fit and the color is so vibrant. I also got this shirt from Goodwill one day. It's got a 90's vibe to it, all the more reason to love it. I'm not really one for necklaces like this, but my mom got it for me for Christmas, and it grew on me. I just liked it paired with the greens and blues in my outfit. 

Someone on Tumblr gave me the idea to take myself out on a date. She spent the whole day by herself doing miscellaneous things, such as going to the movies, getting ice cream, and going to a museum. I feel like everyone should do this at least once a year. Yeah it can be slightly awkward doing things by yourself, but it's also a way to connect with yourself more. People are often surrounded by others, so this would be a nice way to take a step back and reconnect with yourself. I am off school Friday, so I plan on taking myself out. I will take pictures and definitely post something about it on here. I advise you guys to do the same, and let me know how it goes!

It's crazy how many styles constantly inspire me, especially the ones above. I honestly don't know a word to describe my style because I love a mix of everything. These are just some of the things currently serving as my muse.

Art is very inspiring if you absorb it. Sorry I don't know any of the artists/creators but I found all of these on Tumblr! 

The last one is my favorite because the caption said the light bulb represented our thoughts and how over-thinking can ultimately kill you. Maybe not literally kill us, but of all the times I began to overthink things, it just complicated things ten times more.

The Lost Housewife

Top & Skirt: Thrifted / Shoes: Irregular Choice

I felt like a housewife after going through these pictures. I also sorta look like I want to murder someone,which is interesting. It was raining outside that day, so we decided to move the party into our foyer/dinning room. I like how it came out though, our dinning room is pretty sassy. Sadly, we never use it since it's just there for show. What a tragedy..

Lately I've been trying to center my outfits on one key piece that stands out- in this case, the shoes. The look on my mom's face when I came down the stairs ready for church was priceless. She was horrified that I was wearing a purple top and bright blue shoes, it just didn't make sense to her. To me, it did. "Gosh mom, don't you see that the two colors compliment each other, plus with the brown skirt it neutralizes it. Duhhhhh." She looked at me like I was crazy (which I most likely am...)

Most of my outfits are also made up of thrifted clothes, simply because that's what I like. There aren't many stores around Baton Rouge that cater to what I like, so instead I thrift. Done and done. 

I've also thought of something new. At the end of every post I will put a picture (most likely from Tumblr) that inspired me that week/day. So here's the one for today:

Tumblr Appreciation

So I decided to do a sort of tumblr appreciation post. To me, that's where I go for inspiration. All of the different blogs I follow have different styles or themes, but all unique photos and posts none the less. These are some of the pictures that inspired me over the past couple days and I honestly can't stop looking at them. Of course I mostly reblog fashion stuff, but I also look for things that inspire and shape my style.
